Can Benet Vives

Can Benet Vives is an estate amassing over 8 hectares. Situated in the heart of Montnegre National Park in the outskirts of Barcelona, the facilities are specifically designed for activities related to our primary objectives: achieving harmonious development of the human being, promoting healthy psychological growth, and the cultivation of practical spirituality.

The campus has everything needed to conduct group activities over a weekend or several days (be it for spiritual, psychophysical or intellectual development) in a well-cared for environment. Additionally, there are rooms available for individual and family regenerative retreats.

The Campus is divided into several buildings and areas. The central building is an old and large 19th-century farmhouse, Can Benet Vives, which lends its name to the entire campus. There are also the different areas: L’Alegria (joy) and Recolliment (seclusion), as well as the annexed buildings of Montseny, Recordarse (to remember oneself), Bon Ànim (good cheer), Equilibri (balance), and the Ukrainian District. This collection of buildings and areas contains facilities and housing for groups and individuals who come for various activities, as well as for the campus’ permanent residents who are responsible for its proper operation.

The Campus

has close to 100 spaces available divided across 18 individual, double and multiple rooms.

Each room has central heating and wifi. Most of the rooms have their own bathroom. Additionally, there are 2 large shared bathrooms with individual showers.

Individuals staying at the Can Benet campus can enjoy high quality vegetarian or non-vegetarian cuisine in one of the four dining rooms. There is capacity to meet special dietary requirements. Two comfortable living rooms with fireplaces allow individuals to read, chat or meditate. There are 2 libraries with more than 4,000 volumes of contemporary literature, as well as titles on spirituality, anthropology, Sufism and the Fourth Way. Additionally, there is a store where books, memorabilia and artisan products can be purchased.

The Campus has 3 activity halls in 3 separate buildings: Observar-se (self observation), Unió (Union) and Moreres (Mulberry). Each hall enjoys beautiful views of the national park, natural light, high quality sound equipment, multimedia resources and adaptive artificial lighting. In addition, the halls can be arranged in the way that best suits your activity: with mats or mattresses, stereo equipment, a projector and screen, an altar, blankets and cushions, flipcharts, tables and chairs, etc.

Can Benet Vives boasts a 9,000 m2 garden with various terraces and viewpoints of the sea and valley. This makes it ideal for open air activities such as yoga tai-chi, paneurhythmy and more.

The estate includes 8 hectares of forest crossed by charming paths that run through fountains and groves of chestnut trees, oaks, arbutus and pine trees.

In addition to the garden and on the grounds of the campus itself, you will find sports facilities, basketball and tennis courts, ping-pong tables, and a 40-metre swimming pool that is fed by natural water. You will also find a Finnish sauna for groups of up to 15 people.

Our objective
